So, The Ruby in the Smoke (and the other Sally Lockhart books) was one of my favourite books growing up (lady sleuth? Victorian England? Ridiculous melodramatic plots? Philip Pullman? SOLD.) and the fact that Billie Piper and Matt Smith make me squee with nerd-joy.
Although I would say Matt Smith is too old to play Jim Taylor here, whom I always imagined as more of a youth (15-16) and a lot more scruffy-looking and urchin-like. Also, the th-fronting. Oh Matt Smith. It just sounds weird coming from your mouth.
